Jim Suttle believes Omaha should be a place where all people enjoy great opportunities for a rewarding work life
- a community that celebrates oneness of purpose, shared responsibility and equitable access for growth and prosperity. Mayor Suttle works with business and labor leaders to implement a shared vision that creates incentives for attracting new businesses and growing existing businesses to create new and better jobs, fill vacant storefronts and revitalize neighborhood business districts in all parts of our city.
By courting and helping new and existing businesses, attracting quality jobs and becoming a proving ground for new technologies, Omaha is expanding opportunities for all, lowering the unemployment rate to less than half the national average. Last year, 12,000 new jobs were created in our community.
